“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” – Ansel Adams
There’s something so special about holding photographs in your hands rather than flipping through them on a screen. I recently ordered these prints from Artifact Uprising and it was so wonderful taking them out of their pretty packaging and setting them out on the table in front of me. Since I tend to take hundreds of photos on the regular, I find that I rarely ever print them, but it’s definitely something I want to start doing from now on.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably picked up on the fact that I use the #vscocam hashtag with almost every photo I post. VSCO Cam is an awesome photo editing app and is hands down the best I’ve seen. I know there are hundreds out there in app land, but if you haven’t tried Vsco yet, you definitely should!
These two companies recently came together as a team, and I couldn’t be more excited. Artifact Uprising gave me all of these prints for free just for being a loyal Vsco user. I’m so happy with how they turned out!
Aside from prints, Artifact Uprising also has photo books, cards, wall art, and more. If you want to give them a try, make some fun holiday cards and use the promo code MERRY10 for 10% off your order!

I love having printed photos too. They are so special nowadays since they seem so rare. I use Social Print Studio to make a lot of mine since it’s easiest for me since I don’t have an I-Phone. I just recently made copies of my Atlanta photos and sent some to my best friend in Atlanta from when I was visiting her. SPS also has photostrips so I made some of those too and they may be my favorite thing. And for photos that are not taken on your cell phone but with a good camera, they have GIANT photostrips and I made a few of those as Christmas presents for my family so I’m pretty stoked about it. Haha as you can tell I like pictures.
