I’ve never worn a watch, was never really interested in watches, and up until last year, had pretty much zero knowledge when it came to watches. BUT, in April of last year, I bought Adam an Apple Watch for his birthday because he had been eyeing them. He’s pretty active and wanted a way to track his workouts. He’s also a windsurfer and we felt it was important for him to be able to call for help if he was ever out stranded in the water, so I got him the watch that has cell service built-in. He loves his watch so much and uses it every single day.After observing how it works for a few months and realizing it does so much more than just track his workouts, I started to get a bit envious… I wanted a watch, too!! So, I found a cheap model (without cell service) earlier this year and now there’s no going back for me. I love my watch and feel totally naked when I forget to put it on! I feel like it helps push me to be more active since it’s constantly reminding me to stand up, encourages me to reach my “move” goal, and pushes me to get at least 30 minutes of exercise per day. I can also read and respond to texts and emails, make phone calls (when my iPhone is nearby) and listen to music via BlueTooth while I run. It has been such a great investment for me.One thing I struggled with though was finding a watch band I really loved. I tried on so many, and while I do have two different “sporty” watch bands, neither of these felt appropriate to wear when I wanted to dress up, or when I had a photography gig to go to. Sometimes I ended up just leaving my watch behind because I felt like it ruined my outfit!I saw the circular JORD watches with wood bands floating around the interwebs, and even though I thought they were beautiful, I never really paid much attention to them because I was such a loyal Apple Watch user and figured they didn’t make Apple Watch bands… Well, you can imagine my surprise when I found out they actually did!

I wore my new watch band wine tasting in Napa Valley with a friend of mine a few weeks ago and thought it looked elegant and classy with my burnt orange jumpsuit while sipping our glasses in the tasting room.
