The Palm Room

It dawned on me the other day that I moved to Seattle five years ago... Five! That's bonkers. I packed up a U-Haul with my brother and my cousin on a hot summer day in June of 2013 and after saying our goodbyes to loved ones back in Wisconsin, the three of us headed west.Since then, I've turned into a total coffee lover (and somehow an anti-Starbucks snob), I wear my Hunter boots on the regular, I never use an umbrella (because pfft, who cares about wet hair anyway?), and my wardrobe consists of mostly comfortable outdoorsy clothes and North Face jackets. I'm a total Seattleite now, and I love it!I decided it was time to start a new "theme" on this old blog instead of just posting random travel photos whenever Adam and I take a trip. I thought featuring some of my favorite spots around this city I love so much would be a fun idea. So, here's my first "test" post featuring the beautiful Palm Room located in Ballard. The Palm RoomA few weeks ago, I visited the Ballard Farmers' Market with my future sister-in-law Kristen, and after we finished sampling all of the delicious items from the vendors there, we wandered in and out of the cute shops surrounding the market. The two of us were in awe the moment we walked into the Palm Room. The Palm RoomThe Palm RoomThe Palm RoomThe Palm RoomThe Palm RoomThe Palm RoomThere are adorable succulents and cacti lining the windows and pretty plants hanging from the ceiling in every direction. The shop was packed full of visitors, but I tried to sneak in a few photos anyway. The Palm RoomThe Palm RoomThe Palm RoomThe Palm RoomVisiting The Palm Room made me wish I had a green thumb of any kind... I tend to kill all of my succulents and even have a hard time keeping air plants alive. *sigh* Adam and I have an apartment with a patio now, so I do plan on trying to grow herbs outside this summer, but I'm already a bit nervous about it! Fingers crossed... As always, thanks for reading! xo
