The Poster Store

Hi and happy Thursday! I’m partnering with a pretty cool company today. The Poster Store is a relatively new company that was created by two brothers in Stockholm, Sweden. They have hundreds of different, high-quality prints and frames to help refresh any space, and they even release a new poster collection every Tuesday. All of their posters and prints are Scandinavian-inspired and printed on sustainably produced eco-friendly, high-quality paper. I’m obsessed with all things eco-friendly AND Scandinavian, so this was a no-brainer partnership for me. 😉 If you've been looking for some new decor pieces to help spruce up your home, look no further (because psst, there's a 40% off Poster Store coupon code at the bottom of this post)!I was gifted three prints and frames from the Poster Store and thought I'd share a bit about why I chose the ones I did.As you may or may not remember, Adam and I moved to Santa Cruz at the end of March after purchasing our first home. We've spent the last couple of months unpacking, breaking down boxes, and trying our best to decorate and find art pieces that work in our space. I feel like every time we move, I drag my feet when it comes to hanging art/photos on the walls because we always end up moving after a year anyway. I know that's the laziest excuse ever, but it's true! I do think we've gotten better over the last couple of years, though... But this time, we're in this place for good, so we've been working hard to make it feel more like our permanent home (especially with a baby on the way!).Speaking of that little baby, the first piece I picked out was this adorable whale and floral/ocean-themed print. All of our bath stuff for the baby is whale-themed (including this tub that we can't wait to use), so we figured why not make her entire bathroom whale-themed?? They offer a lot of beautiful nature posters on their site, but this one was my favorite. That bathroom already has a greenish-blue color scheme going, so I loved how this print tied in some of those same colors in a subtle way. I ended up choosing the 11.8" x 15.7" print with a white frame instead of the black one shown. Currently trying to decide if I want a different shower curtain or not... We'll see!The next print I chose was for our bathroom. I've always loved these outline drawings and have seen them floating around the internet for a few years now. When I saw this one on their site, I knew I had to get it! I call it our naked lady picture, haha. The wall next to my sink really needed something and I think it was the perfect addition. (FYI - that's not the towel I hang there usually, but it was laundry day when I took this photo sooo I just grabbed this one from our closet because it looked too naked without one there.) For the lady print, I also went with the same 11.8" x 15.7" size and white wood frame I chose for the baby's bathroom.Last but not least, I chose a much bigger print for our kitchen wall. I recently decided to be a real adult and purchase a wall clock, but that was the only thing we had on that wall, so it definitely needed a friend. I love the simplicity of this herbs print! I had a really hard time deciding what color frame I wanted, though. In the end, I chose an oak frame because I thought it would tie in nicely with the other wood pieces we have around the kitchen and dining room, like our record player and beautiful gongfu tea table which was a gift from Adam's parents. Adam is also building us a kitchen table soon and plans to use similar wood. So for now, it looks sort of bare in there, but eventually, I hope the kitchen will look a bit more lived in and homey.  😊I hope this post got your creative juices flowing if you’ve also been struggling to decorate your space. The Poster Store’s unique prints will surely help you create your own gallery wall that’s tailor-made for your home, so check out their wide selection and get started on that home project! The Poster Store is offering my readers a 40% off coupon for posters (not including selection posters) and it’s valid today through August 9th, so hurry up and place your order soon!
